How long have you been together? 6 years total. Married 3 1/2
How long did you date? 2 1/2 years
How old is he? 27 for a few more days... he turns 28 March 3
Who said "I love you" first? He did.
Who is taller? Andy
Who sings better? Probably Andy
Who is smarter? We're smart in such different ways it's hard to say.
Who does the laundry? Usually I do but he helps fold most of the time, which is the worst part.
Who does the dishes? Again, usually I do but he helps out.
Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Right now I sleep on the right, left, and in the middle. In Illinois I slept on the right side but here he does when he's home.
Who pays the bills? That's me.
Who mows the lawn? Mostly he does, but since I don't work in the summer I try to do it when I can so he won't have to. Our lawn here takes under 15 minutes to mow.
Who cooks dinner? We usually cook together but during my first trimester it was all him. He's an excellent cook.
Who is more stubborn? Me.
Who asked whom out? He asked me out. I was a cashier at Mervyn's and he stood in my line to ask for my number. He was shocked when he called and found out it was my real number.
Who proposed? Andy, and he did it well.
Who is more sensitive? Me
Who has more friends? He probably has more acquaintances and I probably have more friends. We also have many shared friends.
Who has more siblings? He does.
I tag Melissa...you're up!

And on the other side of the globe...

Andy has been very busy while he's been away. In addition to flying about 9 hours at least every other day, working on his MBA, calling me as much as possible, and keeping in shape for his rapidly growing wife, he's managed to find the time to grow a mustache. Don't worry, it'll be gone March 20th.

The baseball hat really completes the uniform, don't you think?

This is Andy landing his beast of a plane.

Today marks the halfway point of his deployment! Only 4 more weeks to go!

Yes sir, that's our baby

And so it begins...

While in the past I have enjoyed perusing the blogs of my friends, I have never felt compelled to begin my own despite occasional prompting from a few key friends. What events in our life could possibly be considered blog worthy? A few cross country moves every 3 years certainly do not possess the appeal necessary to sustain an ongoing blog. Let’s face it, despite possible evidence to the contrary, our lives simply weren’t interesting enough to chronicle online. So why now? Well, this blog isn't really about us. It's about the new life we've created together. After trying to personally tell all of the people in our lives about our soon-to-be addition, I quickly began to realize the efficiency of a blog. And so here I sit writing my first blog. The details so far are as follows...
Due Date: June 25 (I'm suppossed to teach until the 19th. Yikes!)
Gender: Unknown; we have decided to be surprised. The ultrasound tech knows, though.
Names: This has been a tough one even with our incredibly decisive personalities. For now let's just say undecided.
Andy is currently deployed to the UAE for 2 months. He left at the end of January and is scheduled to return March 21 (we're almost halfway through!). The baby has begun moving like crazy lately so I'm looking forward to sharing that with him when he gets home.

Just because pictures make blogs more interesting
